Right to protect property and defend yourself

My friends and I have been having a discussion over email this past week about when you have a right to defend your property. I will be posting those emails when I have time to sort them out and get rid of all the junk. In the mean time. This story that fits exactly into our conversation just broke on CNN.

Harold Fish

Below is the link to a story I have been mistelling ever since I was told it. I have heard this story multiple times and it usually is the same. However, the real story is not as cut and dry as the story told to me and that I have told to others.

The story I always told was that a man was hiking and was attacked by three dogs. He pulled his gun and killed the dogs. Then a crazy homeless man came charging down the path from the same area as the dogs, screaming he was going to kill him. The man then fired a warning shot which did not stop the attacker so the man then shot the attacker. This story is always told as an example for not firing a warning shot, because I was tld that this was why he was charged and eventually convicted.

Well the story I have told so often and just the other day is not exactly the truth, but it is relatively close. Short and sweet, there were two dogs, they did charge at him, the man fired a warning shot which scared the dogs off, then the man came running at him, finally leading to the victim killing the charging man. This article, by MSNBC, which is impartial in my opinion, yeah I know unbelievable, tells a good story about what happened and the trial.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15199221//

Now if you have read the story, you know that this is obviously a one sided story since the other person is dead and can not tell his side. From the facts stated in this story, I find it hard to find this man guilty. Repeatedly it is said by the jury and the judge that this was a tragic accident. Well lets just go with that side of it instead of calling it a classic self defense tail.

If this was a tragic accident, does this man deserve to be put in jail for 10 years? This man was hiking. This accident would never have happened if the man had controlled his dogs and his temper. If this is an accident, wasn't it caused by the crazy man? If this is an accident, isn't Mr. Fish a victim as well?

I would also like to address the prosicussion arguement that Mr. Fish carries to large of a gun and loads hollow points. This man is a hiker, he carries the gun in case he is attacked by wild animals. Wouldn't you want a large gun with stopping power?

The procicusion also pointed out that he shot him in the chest, which obviously showed he intended to kill. IF YOU FIRE YOUR GUN, IT SHOULD ONLY BE WITH THE INTENTION TO KILL. You want the PC version, then you should shoot to stop. But that is the same as shooting to kill, cuz if you shoot properly and hit them in the chest, they are most likely going to die.

I am glad the reporter asked him why he didn't fight the guy or hit him with the gun. Well, what if Mr. Fish is not a fighter and the attacker is. Mr. Fish loses the fight and the gun and his life. This man had already fired the gun to scare the dogs off, what possible reason could the attacker have for charging if he did not intend harm and/or wasnt crazy. I do not run at a person who has just fired a weapon and is now pointing it at me. I run away from that person.

Taking the character portion into account and the fact that we only have one side. I have to say that just listening to the two peoples histories would automatically cause me to side with Fish. Clean history = one get out of jail free card for an "accident". History of being crazy and angry = dead for being crazy and angry.

Becoming a Prepper

So, I have been fighting hard not to become one of these nut jobs who thinks the world is going to end because Obama became president. Well I do not think the world is going to end because of Obama, but I do fear it might end in spite of Obama. I have been watching the stock market and it makes moves, it goes up and it goes down, all dependent on emotion. I have learned, in my short time trading, to live with this and not obsess about it. Hell, I have even made some money recently off of it. Which is good, because I can now use that money to start hedging my bets in case the worst happens and we are hit by bad inflation. I am sorry did I say worst, what I meant was impending happens. The worst is super inflation and if that happens we are screwed. We are bend over and kiss your ass good by the world will never be the same screwed.

Now to bring you all down to my scary ass level I want you to think about what would happen if you woke up and found out that your 10,000 dollars in savings was now only worth 100 dollars. A can of soup costs $10 or more, gas is $60 a gallon and rising, people are hungry and scared, suddenly people start robbing and stealing, not because they are bad but because they need to feed their family. Well you have a family, you have food, what are you to do? Or maybe you are one of those who was just about to go shopping and you have empty pantries. Now the $150 dollars it would have cost yesterday to fill it up only gets you a couple cans of cambells chicken soup.

WHAT DO YOU DO? Do you live in the city? Can you get away from the lunacy springing up outside? Do you join in and start breaking into other peoples houses looking for food? Was that a gun shot? Thats illegal!!! Where are the police? Hey, is that house on fire? Why would someone set the house on fire? I better call 911!!! All curcuits are busy? Oh shit!!! I better get out of dodge!!! Where do I go? Uh oh, I was going to fill up on gas tomorrow!!! Did the news say lines for gas were a mile long and that places were running out??? I heard they were not taking credit cards or checks or debit, well I dont have cash on me!!! Damn there are people looting the houses across the street!!! Will they come here? What do I do?!?!? I have to protect my family!!! I knew I shouldn't have sold my gun!!! Will my fire extenguisher stop them? NO, thats silly!!! Maybe I can reason with them? They sure look angry! Are they beating that man??? I will just get the family and huddle in the closet!!! There goes the front window!!! GET OUT OF HERE LOOTERS, THERE IS NOTHING TO TA.............

Marcus Luttrell is the the lone survivor of a seal team that was sent into Afghanistan's Hindu Kush mountains to kill a Taliban leader, Omar. His team was found out by goat herders. The team captured the goat herders and then debated whether to kill them or let them go. They chose to let them go and by doing so sealed their death warrant. The seals moved their position, but still had to stay in the area in order to complete their mission. Hours later they heard movement on a cliff above them, they hid. Taliban members started searching the area and one man peaked into a dark crevis where the last thing to go through his head was a bullet.

This started a massive fire fight where four seals fought over 100 Taliban. The Seals fought from a disadvantage from the start as the enemy held the high ground. The seals retreated down the mountain by jumping off cliffs and rolling down, once they stopped they immediately started fighting again while another member tumbled down. At the end of the battle their was only one man alive and he was wounded, the story continues as he escapes and evades the enemy through the mountains, is helped (saved) by Pushton tribesmen, and finally found by Army Rangers. For the full story, read Lone Survivor, by Maruc Luttrell, it is an amazing story, better then fiction, and truly a testament to Navy Seals.

Well, below is the story of how this survivor's dog has been shot and killed by PUNKs. Pure punks who deserve no pity and no rehabilitation, they deserve a bullet and a shallow grave. Read this story and try not to be outraged and not cry for the loss of humanity in America. Feel compassion for this man who has gone through so much and continues to have to endure more pain at the hands of punks and scum. This is one man, but how many more stories are there that do not have the high profile of Mr. Luttrell.

Transcript from Glenn Beck Radio Program:

CALLER: Hey, Glenn, thanks for taking my call. I just wanted to know, Friday you asked us to pray for Marcus and I was just seeing if you had an update today on what's going on with him.

GLENN: Yes, I do. Yes, I do. Marcus Luttrell is the lone survivor. He was part of the SEAL team. It was the biggest battle any SEAL in SEAL history. He was the only survivor. He lost his whole team. He was then taken by Al Qaeda and the Taliban and he was tortured beyond your wildest imagination and there they held him for a while. He's been sick. He still hasn't recovered from all of the things that they did to him and so he just has he's always in for his back and surgery and everything else.
On Thursday I believe it was, Wednesday or Thursday about 1:00 a.m., Marcus is a guy who doesn't sleep anymore at night. He sleeps during the daytime. And about 1:00 he happened to be awake and he heard a gunshot. He lives on a ranch with his mother in Texas. He grabs his gun and he goes outside. There he sees, I believe it was four. It may be three but I believe it was four young men 18 to 24 years old, all of them, where they had just shot his dog. Marcus' dog is named Dasy. Each letter represents D A S Y represents one of the fallen members of his team. It was given to him in recovery to help him through the recovery process. This dog means everything to Marcus. Marcus had his gun and he took it out and he put it right between the eyes of one of the guys. He was standing away from them, pointed right between the eyes. Now, here's a SEAL team member who is wildly, he's just, he is having trouble, man. He is still recovering from his injuries. He had just gotten out of surgery. He's standing there with a gun between the guy's eyes. He doesn't fire. All four and he's just saying, "You killed my dog." They executed his dog. "You killed my dog. Why would you do that?" They run. They get into his car. Marcus gets into his truck, chases them over four counties, finally runs them into a ditch. He calls the Rangers.
The Texas Rangers arrive and these guys, when the Texas Rangers are taking these guys away, Marcus has held them there by a gun. As the Rangers are taking these guys away, they're threatening Marcus' life and saying, "When we get out, we're coming for you next. First it was your dog. It's going to be you next. You don't know who you're messin' with." That's when Marcus kind of snapped just a little bit and said to the Ranger, "Excuse me, ranger, do you know who I am?" He said, "Yes, sir, Mr. Luttrell, I do." He said, "You might want to explain to these punks because I could have killed them 600 different ways and if I wanted to kill you guys after what you would have done what you just did to my dog, I would have pulled you down into my basement and I would have tortured you for days and you wouldn't have died until you begged me for death. So before you start saying you're going to come after me, you better learn who you've just whose dog you just killed."

They get into jail. These four punks have been killing dogs in Marcus' county now for a month, for joys, joy rides and kicks. Tonight Marcus is going to be on television and he's going to tell the story, and I'm showing the pictures of these dirtbags. And I want you to call PETA, I want you to call every activist you know. I want you to hear the story of a hero whose dog was executed. In all of the times that everybody is saying, oh, guns gotta be taken off the streets, you gun nuts. Here's a responsible gun owner that with everything he's gone through, everything that that dog means, these dirtbags come and kill his dog. He could have killed them all. He probably would have enjoyed it, justifiably so and he didn't because he's an American hero. Keep him in your prayers.

Malfunction Makes Man A Criminal part 2

This man has now been sentenced to 30 months. THIRTY FREAKING MONTHS!!!! For a 20 year old malfunctioning rifle. I have researced a little more into this and found out that the manufacturer has ordered a recall for this problem and that even the ATF ordered a recall for this problem 20 years ago, but would not show the document to the defense.

The testers where not able to reproduce the problem with this weapon until they used one specific ammo. How can a rifle be deemed a machine gun when it only fires full auto intermittently? I just don't get it and I do not understand why the BATFE went after this guy so bad. What happened to common sense? Why do the BATFE hate gun owners? I know it is their job to track down bad people with guns, but this guy was a clean living citizen, veteran, father, and non-criminal.

This is bullshit and every American should be scared shitless. Your rights can be infringed upon at anytime, for any reason, and whether your fault or not you will go to jail.

I love Arizona but if this happens here I am moving to Texas.......

I Hate Hippies

I just have no understanding of the people who think that love will save all. One sign reads, "WAR is NOT the Answer", so hippie what is?
-Since when has America just gone to war for no reason?
-Since when have we not attempted to talk first?
-Since when did everyone stick their head in the dirt and fall deaf, blind, and stupid to what is happening around them?
Answers:
Never
Never
1950ish??? Maybe sooner
Wake up people, peace is only possible when there is a threat of war. Peace is the outcome of war. The people we are at war with now have no wish to do anything other then war. Go protest in their country and see what happens. Where were the hippies when Saddam gassed the Kurds, where were they when the Taliban took over Afghanistan, where were the Kurds when Russia went into to Georgia? They were protesting here in America that's where they were. Why? Because if they had protested the countries and governments listed above they would all be dead, that's why.
Idiots!!! Stand a post or shut the hell up.

It Begins

It is unbelievable to me that this is an issue in the first 100 days. I want to find the statistics on the past eight years and level of gun violence, suicides, accidental shootings. Any one have any data?

Grand Jury Convenes in FBI Terror Case Against Somali-Americans in Minneapolis, Sources Say

You may not know it but Phoenix has the second largest population of Muslims in the US second to Deerborn, Michigan.

You also may not be aware that Tucson was the location of Osama Bin Laden's first charity organization back when he was fighting Russians and not us.

Did you know that the Muslim Imams who got kicked off the US Airways flight from Minniapolis where headed to Phoenix where they live.

This is not a call to arms against Muslims in Phoenix, it is just an FYI because as much as I pay attention to the news and to history, this slipped by me. I do not see many recognizable Muslims around. I knew we had a large population of Sihk Indians, because I have a close friend who is one, and you can recognize them because they are the ones wearing the Turbins on their heads.

What worries me about these Muslims in Phoenix is that a lot of them are refugees from war torn countries. These people are experiencing, for their first time, democracy and freedom. They are alone and only have their own people to turn too, because in most cases they probably know little english. So these people are easy pray for fundimentalists who can convert them into suicide bombers and mass murders.

It is believed that Phoenix is safe, because the leaders do not want to draw attention to their perfect recruiting grounds. But remember, some of the 9/11 terrorists had connections to Phx. Remember the flight training? "Just teach me to go up, no need to come down"

What is Our Responsibility

What is the responsibility of a citizen?

I wonder that on a daily basis.

Isn't it the citizens responsibility to contribute to civilization? That is what I believe. I believe all productive citizens contribute to societies greatness. It is America's unique application of freedom that allows every individual to offer an opinion and have a say to the way things are run. That is at least the way it is supposed to be. It is the way our forefathers believed this country needed to be run. They had a lot of power and they turned it over to the people. That is proof in their honor and belief in man kind. They led us away from big government and put the responsibility on the individuals head.

We shit on that and have given power back to a central government. We no longer accept responsibility for our own actions.

Ask yourself this. Who is going to be there for me when a disaster hits?

If you answer anything other than "ME", then you are not a citizen, you are an ant in a commune.

What is Wrong with Us???

We are at war and our own technology is being used against us. I am all for freedom of the press and the first amendment, but there has to be a happy middle ground when it comes to war and national security. I hate the term national security now that it has been over used and misused. Well according to Movies and TV its misused constantly in order for the government to cover up anything it doesn't want people to know. But I digress.

Now this story below was not broken by American news so I can not blame them. I can blame Google for allowing its awesome program to be used against America. I love looking at Google earth all the time, but the views are outdated so they should be able to edit bases around the world. One time I looked up my old base and counted how many planes were on the tarmac and where. I was able to tell that my squadron, a combat squadron, was deployed when the picture was taken because there were only a few birds on the ground and now support equipment around. That is not right, not right at all.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/elections/2009/02/19/google-image-shows-base-pakistan/

Now you may be asking yourself, who cares since the pictures are usually out dated. Well, I don't know if the minute they put them up is right after they were taken. I also know that the bases structures, roads, and security gates are easily visible on google earth. This allows incredible Intel to anyone wanting it and possibly willing to exploit it.

COMMON SENSE. IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK?

We are being laughed at people. We portray ourselves as weak willed and weak hearted. Our enemies think we are all idiots and I believe it is only geography that prevents them from storming our gates. When will we wake up and do what is necessary?

Unjust Justice

I ask you, what is the difference between a police officer and a civilian? My answer, nothing.

I believe police officers are payed and trained to handle big issues in progress, paper work, and investigations. I believe the same goes for federal law enforcement. The INS and Border Patrol are a good example of federal law enforcement who's full time job it is to keep illegal entrance into our country at a minimum. However, it is EVERY CITIZENS, job to prevent crime. The cops are just here to clean up and investigate afterward. Vigilante justice is a bad phrase that is put on any citizen who protects him/herself, family, property, or in some cases country. I am not a member of the Minute Men but I believe what they are doing is legal and patriotic. They are doing what the Federal Government is mandated to do. No where in the constitution is it stated that the Federal Government is supposed to be worried about education, health care, or bail outs. They are supposed to defend our boarders and a couple other things.

Above is an article about a man who was a victim and was charged as a criminal. He wins against the lawsuit, sort of. He is still ordered to pay reparations. WTF? Why? For making a citizens arrest against people illegally on his property? This is bullshit of the worst kind.

Movies and TV

I have been on the road the past three weeks and over the weekends I saw four movies. Two of the movies really made me think.

The first movie that got my mind racing was "TAKEN". This movie is about an ex CIA man who will stop at nothing to save his daughter who has been kidnapped by Armenian gangster so they can sell her as a sex slave. When I say stop at nothing, I mean stop at nothing. His only wish is to get his daughter back and anyone who stands in his way is dead or hurting. The raw killing and torture took even me by surprise as I fought back my liberal teachings that tell me only necessary force is needed. I had to regroup and place myself in the scenario to really appreciate what he was feeling. Not something easily done since I have no children.

While I was watching the lead character interrogate a man, it went from water boarding to far worse. I sat and wondered how many liberals were watching this movie and agreeing with the main characters actions, since it was justified because the bad guy was known to be a bad guy. I wanted to jump up, pause the movie, and ask for a show of hands for how many liberals there were in the theater. The friend I was with told me that the TV show 24 is similar in the main character will shoot someone in order to get information. I have never seen the show. HOW COME HE HAS NEVER BEEN PROSECUTED? That show is extremely popular so I know there have to be some liberals who watch it. Why are they not disgusted by what is portrayed on the screen? I think they are not disgusted because they know the person being tortured is a true bad guy. Well, I would like to believe that the people our CIA and military intelligence interrogate have a pretty good idea they have a bad guy in their hands.

The second movie took me by surprise as I thought I was going to see a WWII version of Rambo, where Daniel Craig goes on a rampage against Nazis. Imagine my surprise when "Defiant" turns out to be about 4 Jewish brothers who survive after their parents are slaughtered by fellow Russians at the behest of Nazi Germany. I love history but have to be honest and say I have not studied much more then the high points of the Russian/German front. I had never heard of these brothers nor the battle that took place in the forest that is the main setting of this movie. What is interesting is the feeling of the Jews who hide in the forest. Most are business men and intellectuals who look down on the brothers for being thugs and peasants. Yet they turn to them for their survival skills and leadership. The two oldest brothers fight over how best to survive, with one brother wanting to raid and kill any Nazi sympathizers in order to take food and supplies, while only sharing with those Jews who help in the fighting. The other brother wants to prevent blood shed and help all the Jews regardless of their contributions. The brothers end up separating with one joining Russian forces with a group of Jews and the other staying with a hundred plus people trying to stay alive through a Russian winter.

This movie was much more interesting in its portrayal of right and wrong. In my limited associations with Jewish people I have found that they are extremely organized and efficient. This is portrayed in the movie and all people are documented and their skills accessed. They are then assigned jobs and all are trained to fire a weapon. At one point, one of the men who scouts for food decides he and the other scouts should be first to get food and get more then the others. This caused a debate between me and my liberal friend. I did not agree with this view. In my eyes, this was a commune where everyone had a role and everyone shared equally. No one was without a job so no one did less then the other. Yes, the scouts did the more dangerous work, but with out the others they would not have had clothes, shoes, shelter, or repaired weapons. I will not ruin the movie by discussing what happens but I did agree with the way it was handled.

The funniest part of this movie watching the internal fighting over right and wrong during the war. The intellectuals wanted no violence even though all the other Jews had been slaughtered, including their wives, husbands, sons, and daughters. This amazed me. To not defend ones self and loved ones goes against every thing I feel instinctual. To roll over and die does not seem human. The best line comes after a German soldier has been captured and the people are interrogating him. They find out the Germans will be coming into the forest. The Jews who surround this soldier, decide to focus their anguish and hatred on this one soldier. But in comes the intellectual who screams, "Wait, if he promises to not tell them where we are can we let him go?" Seriously? This is the same guy who steps outside unarmed after hearing a scary noise outside the house. COME ON.

War is hell and when you are out numbered and being slaughtered, I do not believe any quarter should be given. Both movies show raw human emotion and put you in a position to ask yourself, "What would I do?". I know their is good and evil in this world. I do not believe that the way to beat evil is with kindness or hugs. I believe the way to beat evil is by being as brutal and devious as the enemy. The difference between good and evil is that the good can stop once the evil is defeated.

I love my family, my friends, and others who try and live good decent lives. I have no compassion for people who lie, cheat, and steal from hard working individuals. I have no compassion for religious zealots, no matter what religion, who preach hate and destruction on those who believe differently then them. I believe all men and women are created equal, but there are givers and there are takers. The givers enhance society by making it better, whether big or small, they do what they can. Takers offer nothing but fear, loathing, and death. For the takers of the world I feel the only way is to get rid of them.

I do not believe that a measure of society is the state of its prisons, I believe the measure of society is the way it treats the victims.

Arizona Shooter

Are you a normal citizen and have no idea what is going on with your country and your states? Do you wonder what would happen if the constitution was actually followed and states controlled themselves and the fed staid out of it? Well I do. I believe in the constitution as it was written. i believe the fore founders where visionaries and foresaw what would become of our country before it ever happened. The bible says the meek shall inherit the earth and a good question is, do liberals equal meek? Because that is what is happening. The weak are running things and the hard willed are forced to break the law in order to defend themselves and their family.

I am a life long conservative, maybe even a life long libertarian. I believe that our fore fathers wanted limited government and wanted the states to rule themselves. I believe that people are different and that when it comes to our major issues as a country they can be separated as a country by the states making their own rules. California and the other coastal states that seem to be liberal can run themselves that way, while central states maintain conservative views.

We can remain the United States as long as each state is allowed to maintain it’s own views. I hail from Arizona which has allowed both Democrat and Republican leadership, while maintaining its second amendment rights. My belief is that America is made up of different ideologies but have similar goals. America’s main goal is the freedom of all people. Second is the allowance of difference of opinion. Third is the freedom of persecution. Meaning, all people are allowed to do as they want as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others, including the young and influential. That last part could be confusing so let me elaborate. People are allowed to act as they want as long as they do not impose on others and do not raise their children based on outlandish ideals.

Here is where we get controversial. I do not believe that all humans are allowed to procreate and keep their children. I believe that GOOD people are allowed to procreate and raise children. Bad parents should lose their children and be given to good people who actually want children.

This blog is written by an American in hopes to better America. I have served my country and I hope to see it prosper a long, long time. I fear that the meek have weakened it and wish to turn it into a criminal heaven based on double meaning and innuendo. I long for the politician to come along that is able to create legislature that rewrites the laws into English that all Americans can easily understand and no lawyer is needed to interpret.
