General McChrystal

General McChrystal has submitted his resignation meaning he was fired by the President.

The talking heads are sticking to the political talk with Liberals being for the President and the Conservative being for the General. Nothing surprising here. What is for sure is the military veterans that have been interviewed know McChrystal messed up and that the President has every right to fire him. I agree.

McChrystal had a lapse in judgement talking openly in front of a Rolling Stones reporter. The President has to show that he is in charge and will fire anyone of his subordinates who speaks out against him or anyone else in the chain of command.

McChrystal is a bad ass so he will be alright. I would say he has a future on the lecture circuit and writing a book. He also has a political career waiting if he wants it.

I think the President, General McChrystal, our troops, and America are the victims here.

The reporter from Rolling Stone made us weaker today. Nothing he reported was ground breaking. He did not uncover corruption or a crime. He played gotcha and caught a General making a snide remark that was inappropriate, but only if repeated to the ENTIRE WORLD. The only one who won in this situation is Rolling Stone, the reporter, and Al Qaida. Congratulations you worthless piece of shit.

This reporter could have tucked these statements away and wrote a book in a couple of years. Not as glamorous or edgy but it would have been the PATRIOTIC thing to do. But what should I expect when our society is all about the individual greed regardless of who is hurt in the process.

Is the President planning on granting amnesty on his own?

There is a lot of hubbub on the blogs about this so I thought I would bring it to everyones attention. Not sure what is true or false but it was enough that a group of Senators sent the email below.

This would be bad. Very bad considering the political and emotional climate in America right now.

Lets remember that we are not just talking about people looking for work. We are talking about gang members, terrorists, and other criminals. I am not sure but I think it would cover the Afghani pilots who went awol.

I am not going to pretend that I understand what the implications are, but I am willing to state that any action that grants status to criminals, even the ones who only broke into our country, is wrong. Going against the majority of American's will is wrong.

Dear President Obama:



We understand that there’s a push for your Administration to develop a plan to unilaterally extend either deferred action or parole to millions of illegal aliens in the United States. We understand that the Administration may include aliens who have willfully overstayed their visas or filed for benefits knowing that they will not be eligible for a status for years to come. We understand that deferred action and parole are discretionary actions reserved for individual cases that present unusual, emergent or humanitarian circumstances. Deferred action and parole were not intended to be used to confer a status or offer protection to large groups of illegal aliens, even if the agency claims that they look at each case on a “case-by-case” basis.


While we agree our immigration laws need to be fixed, we are deeply concerned about the potential expansion of deferred action or parole for a large illegal alien population. While deferred action and parole are Executive Branch authorities, they should not be used to circumvent Congress’ constitutional authority to legislate immigration policy, particularly as it relates to the illegal population in the United States.


The Administration would be wise to abandon any plans for deferred action or parole for the illegal population. Such a move would further erode the American public’s confidence in the federal government and its commitment to securing the borders and enforcing the laws already on the books.


We would appreciate receiving a commitment that the Administration has no plans to use either authority to change the current position of a large group of illegal aliens already in the United States, and ask that you respond to us about this matter as soon as possible.

WTF!?!?!?!

- Obama sends token force of troops to the border. 2000 miles of border = 1500 troops. Please read my previous post on when numbers lie. I also doubt the troops will be armed and nothing will change.

- Border Patrol currently has a hiring freeze on. Went to a graduation party this last weekend and my cousin told me her husband was accepted into the Border Patrol but was waiting for a start date due to a hiring freeze. Priorities anyone???

- Oil hitting the beaches in the south, President is getting pissed, Dems blaming Bush. I don't blame Obama for the oil spill, never blamed Bush for the problems in Louisiana after the Hurricane. Safety regulations is one thing I think the government should be involved in and they need to get their act together. I am getting sick of hearing about gov workers watching porn and not doing their jobs.

- White House attempts to bribe retired Admiral to get him to not run against party switcher, Republicans want heads, Democrats say no blood no foul. Blogovich is not around to blame for this one so who did it?

- Spec Ops publicized. Really???? Yo Taliban, WERE COMING!!!! But secretly!!! I am getting sick of the media announcing our troop movements. Do they think the Taliban and Al Qaida don't read the news?

- Drug wars in Jamaica and Mexico. Who is to blame? America's gun laws of course. More excuses for bad behavior.

- Arizona - SB1070, Ethnic Studies, and teachers with accents, what else can we take on???? All are worthy battles, I just worry that it's too much  for the hanky stompers to handle at one time. My hope is that it brings the true racists (La Raza, Brown Berets, Immigrants without borders, etc) and their agendas to the surface.
