EMP Strike: The Scariest Threat Ever?

Medium X gave me the book "One Second After" written by William R. Forstchen and I just finished it.

This is scarier than all other disaster scenerios. Just imagine if every electrical product in America fried out and could not be repaired. Imagine what it would be like to have no communicaiton, no vehicles, no flashlight.

There is no one coming to help so what do you do?

This book changed my life! Bill Fortschen is one of our local celebs...our daughters went to school together. The town in the book is very accurately modeled after our town of Black Mountain, NC. My prior house in Black Mountain adjoined "the nursing home" property. He used some peoples real names. I recognized the characters even when the names were changed.
I read this book in a weekend and have not been the same, since! I have loaded up on food and survival gear...gave the same to close family for Christmas presents this year.
This morning on Fox, someone from Heritage Foundation was speaking about the increasing threat of an EMP strike...Iran, North Korea, Russia???...What better was to take over our country, preserve infrastructure and "workforce"? Scary stuff!!!
