What being a Conservative means to Me
I call myself conservative because there is no word that encompasses all of my beliefs. Libertarian is probably closer to my political beliefs, but so many people picture them as whack jobs and I do not want to be associated with them. With conservatives, I may not agree with all of their views but I do agree with the majority. Below is what it means to me to be a conservative.
Conservative means self reliance, common decency, and personal responsibility. It means you work hard for what you have, you pay your fair share to the government (who is supposed to make sure you are safe) and you keep the rest.
It means you take care of you and yours--you don’t demand that anyone bail you out when you fail, nor do you pay a fine for succeeding. If a neighbor needs help I will help them, but they damn sure better be willing to help me if I need it. That is what community is supposed to be.
It means I want a strong but small government that is truly of and for the people. Strong military, strong border security, and strong enforcement of reasonable laws.
It means I am patriotic and am willing to die for my country.
It means I believe in law and order with equal prosecution of our laws no matter who commits the crime.
It means that I believe that crime prevention is the individual’s responsibility and that police are our back-up. It means that I believe defending life, property, and pets using any means available are all one and the same.
It means I am for strict order in schools to optimize learning. Teaching should be focused on the average students and not on the slowest or smartest students.
What it doesn’t mean to me is Christianity. I believe you can be a good conservative and be an atheist. You just have to live on your honor instead of in fear of God.
It doesn’t mean racist. I believe we are viewed, by liberals, that way because we do not believe in handouts of any kind. I believe that it is the liberal ideology that minorities need assistance that is racist and propagates the poverty rate in the so-called minority communities.
It does not mean heartless. Because I wish to choose who I help with my money or time, it does not make me heartless. It means I do not want to be taken advantage of. I do not want to help someone that is in their predicament because of their own stupidity or fraud, while someone who is hard working, but is in need at no fault of their own, goes without.

Twitter Account = Olbermann Over Load
We have been on Twitter for less than 12 hrs and have already found why we took so long to do it.
Because we cover so many topics and try to VERIFY everything we hear, we included people from the left and the right. Keith Olbermann was one of them of an initial 13.
BOY DO WE REGRET IT.
In the past six hours Olbermann has posted 18 times. Amazingly two of them were about Glenn Beck. SERIOUSLY this guy has an obsessive compulsive disorder with Beck. Jealous of those ratings of course but it is bordering on neurotic.
I do not think I can have Olbermann clogging up the page like this. Maybe he is bored today since he isn't covering anything with a liberal twinge to it.
He did mention the New Black Panthers but blew them off because there are only three of them. There are more than 3 Keith and when is the best time to start paying attention? My guess is when they grow in numbers and start killing Crackers. The same goes for the Brown Berets. Keep up the good work you hack.

So we are going to twitter like Paris Hilton about how we feel when the waitress forgets the extra lemon for our ice tea we requested three time and each time she apologized for forgetting yet kept forgetting and I don't really believe her any more and think it is because she knows I am a conservative and wants to make me suffer lemonless and is probably telling the cook to spit on my food while listening to Keith Olberman or worse Rosie O’Donnell bitch about guns in the hands of law abiding citizens while their kids are protected by body guards who carry guns but that’s okay because her kids are celebrities and are in greater danger because people don't like her big mouth or big ass and its really George Bush's fault that America is full of slaves aka illegal immigrants so what if they came here of their own free will its only because big bad business draws them to America like a cruel child who ties a string to a milk bone and pulls it behind his bike just out of reach of the hungry dog while laughing the mischievous laugh of a banker who robbed the innocent home owners and forced them at gun point to buy homes that they could not afford and then sold market derivatives not to limit their risk because they were being forced to do something stupid by congressmen like barney frank but because they are evil selfish men who want nothing more than to see the demise of the middle class that has not seen an increase in decades yet has grown in numbers since the 50s except when it went down because so many middle class people joined the upper class which refuses to pay its fair share of taxes to the American government so that it can give it to the poor who will then spend it on idiotic things like nice shoes fake nails perms racecar plates or plasma tvs even though they have no food or power or health care but that is okay because the government will provide those things as well because it is a right to be healthy fed and sheltered they know that because that is what people like van jones and other socialist communist liberal fit new name people told them they deserve just for being born to idiotic parents who never had a will to be a productive member of society and producing more than they consume which sounds a lot like Russia but its not cuz we live in America.
Unfortunately, twitter only allows 140 characters so we won’t be able to share all our thoughts in one message. So anything over 140 characters will have to be in a blog post. Of course, Ramrod may never post again cuz it’s a hell of a lot easier to hen peck out 140 characters including spaces than it is to type a decent blog post. Texas woman recovering after candy box explodes
This has not hit the major news networks and I could not find any big name news programs running the story when I googled it. Normally if a story is big and you google it under the news tab it gives you more links than you ever wanted. So why is a pipe bomb disguised as candy not big news?

Every time I introduce myself to someone new, and they ask me what I do for a living, I eventually get the same reaction......"there was this one time I got pulled over..." or "there was this cop who came to my house one time..."
The second part of this story is usually followed by some horror story of some police officer who treated this person badly. Now sometimes I can explain why the officer interacted with the citizen in this way. Sometimes I can tell the person that police officers are human, and have human emotions like everyone else. Its not easy to go from a high stress moment like arresting a child molester (or two) and then having to listen to someone think their world is over because their car stereo was stolen . I actually like to hear these stories because I take pride in my job, and I hope to change the persons opinion about the officer they dealt with.
But every once in awhile, officers do things that are completely unexplainable. This is one of those times. The link provided is to an AZ central article on the Phoenix Police Officer tazed by Gilbert PD in January. The Phoenix Officer is now suing Gilbert for half of a million dollars. The Phoenix Officer was more than twice the legal limit and was passed out in his car. There is also an audio tape of the incident where the Phoenix Officer can be heard being belligerent and threatening. He was removed from his car, and after being non compliant, was tazed. I believe the Gilbert Officer did nothing wrong. He was put in a bad situation due to no fault of his own. Gilbert probably even saved this guy's career because they didn't charge him with any felonies. A felony arrest is automatic grounds for termination. They could have easily charged him with resisting arrest. They ultimately charged him with the misdemeanor crime of failing to obey a lawful order.
Its cops like this that give the rest of us a bad name.

Gun wielding 87 year old Tased and dies
It is a sad story and I am sure she was not a bad person. Just old and probably not thinking straight.
I feel more sorry for the cop who tased her. I hope he can get over any guilt he might feel.
I praise the police force for pointing out the fact that he could have shot her and instead was trying to save her life, even at the risk of his partner and his own life.

Finding My Niche
When the King of the Dirty Libs called me out for not commenting on the Oil Spill it got me thinking. What exactly is it that I write about?
When I started this blog I did it so I could voice my opinion to the world without them asking for my opinion. I thought it might actually offer my friends a reprieve from my constant pontificating about current events, politics, and personal protection.
The name of the blog was never meant to be defining, but it seems that since it is Arizona Shooter it should be more about gun related topics.
So I am asking you, my readers, what do you want to hear me spill my guts about?There is a poll at the top of the blog so that you can select some items or The poll gadget did not work so feel free to comment on this post to elaborate tell me what you think.

Gay Marriage
I decided to write something that would rile up the Christian conservatives and shed some light into my 25% liberal/75% conservative philosophy. Some would say its libertarian but I don't like being lumped in with that group.
I have no problem with Gay Marriage or civil unions or anything two consenting adults decide to do in the privacy of their own home. I believe that banning anything gay is unconstitutional.
My only problem with gay marriage was fraud, but then I new men and women in the military who got married solely to live off base and draw living and food allowances. So fraud can be perpetrated by anyone.
I understand that there are some who point to the word Marriage meaning man and woman. If I was gay I would give up on the marriage part and go civil union. ON PAPER. Its not like someone is going to arrest you if you say you are married to someone if its only a civil union. As long as the two give the same rights, WHO CARES WHAT IT IS CALLED.
Now, I do say that if straight people are willing to offer civil unions then gay people need to give up gay pride parades as they currently are. These things are ridiculous and you should be ashamed of yourselves.
You wonder why people think all gays are perverts, well just look at what we see during a gay pride parade. I wouldn't mind if you knocked off the flaming too. That is equally ridiculous. Feel free to do what you want in private, but show some respect for the people around you who might feel uncomfortable.

New Black Panthers
America has been trying damn hard to make up for its racist ways and its history of slavery. We have come leaps and bounds in the last 40 years to force equality onto every racist white person in America.
Unfortunately, we forgot about the racists that are not white. We do not hold them accountable for their speech or their actions. America's over compensation for past wrongs is leading us into further turmoil. With organizations like the new black panthers, the brown shirts, and la raza forming, it will only lead to strength for white supremacy groups, neo nazis, and racist (most are not racist) militia groups.
There are a lot of videos out there showing the leaders of these minority groups calling for the death of white people and the taking back of land stolen from their ancestors.
The speech of these racist non whites is not reported on the big news stations in any prominence. At the same time, logical discussion about border security and American sovereignty is automatically lauded as racist. People opposed to the President are racist. Basically, whites are easily called racist for non racist acts, while actual racist hate speech by non whites is not discussed.
You may call it being an alarmist but things are getting to the boiling part in SO many different areas that we will soon be unable to contain the problem. Be it radicals of any race, terrorists, Illuminati, Zionists, the Fed, communists, hostile nations, or you pick your enemy of choice, we so called average citizens are going to take it on the chin.
It is only through openly discussing and outing these crazy or hateful people that we can defeat them peacefully. The alternative is to allow this hate to fester until it bursts and the only answer is to meet it with superior force of action.
PS. For you libs, the alternative is to bend over, stick your head in the sand, and hope no one sees you.

New Logo
Arizona Shooter has a new logo thanks to Mediumx.
It is a lot more colorful and less threatening to the timid masses. We believe it is a clear reflection of our mission here at Arizona Shooter.
The American and Arizona flag protruding from behind the shield represent our willingness to defend both State and Country from those who would see it destroyed. This goes for both foreign and domestic enemies.
The shield also represents our defensive mindset both in personal protection and that of our country and state. We do not look for trouble but we will not back down from it.
The quote from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe describes our philosophy that everyone has a personal responsibility to keep their own lives in order and not an expectation that someone else will take care of them.
The Arizona Shooters are normal American Patriots who wish to see everyone take responsibility for their actions and we strive to bring awareness to our readers. No longer can people just bury their heads in the sand and forget that their are enemies all around them.
As Mediumx recently told a reader, "if you bury your head in the sand don't be surprised when you find that someone has stolen the sand from around you." Warthog was not as kind and told the reader that it left his ass in the air to be raped.
Regardless of what you think of our politics, we hope you arm yourselves with the knowledge to agree with us or to honestly debate us. Either way we all win. We don't mind people who argue with us as long as that person has an intelligent opinion, has researched their facts, and are not solely regurgitating what they heard from a political pundent or talking head on cable.

Independence Day
Happy Independence Day to everyone out there.
Remember, it is not a date we are celebrating it is an event. 234 years ago 13 colonies declared their independence from British tyranny. 234 after that declaration we are far from what our founders envisions both good and bad.
Today I ask you to just take a moment to think about why America is so special. Why did it bring about so many inventions, why is its military so strong, why does it win so many Olympic medals, and why is it so hated.
It is all about freedom. Freedom to choose your path, freedom to pursue your ambitions, and freedom to take chances. The freedom to succeed or to fail.
Envision living in a country where you were told what you would be when you grew up based on class or a standardized test. Do you think you would be doing what you are doing today?
Think about what it would be like to have to watch every word you said because someone might report you to the authorities.
Think about what it would be like to have to bow to your king.
Of course, have a great BBQ or what ever event you have planned. Just don't forget why you are able to have your event. It is because 13 colonies said we want to run ourselves and because there were men and woman willing to fight to make it happen.

Unemployment checks create jobs
This chick is nuts. But, Mediumx, acting out the role of the great instigator Ytraps, stated that checks have to be handed out by someone who is paid to hand them out. So, Pelosi is factually correct in stating that jobs are created by the unemployment system.
What she fails to correlate is that those jobs are not making any money for anyone but the employee. We save a whole lot of tax dollars by cutting unemployment, firing the check hander outer, and reducing the deficit.
I think gov jobs should be taken off the table or factored in a different way. We could have zero unemployment if the gov just hired everyone. It is a ridiculous example but so is the current situation.

For right now this is all speculation but if it is true than the teacher SHOULD be in trouble. To attack a 12 year old is ridiculous and cowardly. I have no problem with the first part of the article, my problem arises at the bottom when they say that,
There are many things I have a problem with when we talk about Mexico and illegal immigration or drug smuggling. My main problem is that it has anything to do with race. It has nothing to do with race for the majority of Americans who support the law. It has to do with Nationalism and culture.

Celebrate but don't let you guard down. Just because Obama is not openly coming after guns, there are plenty of libs who are. Daly, the mayor of Chicago, new this was coming and has openly been looking for ways around it. There are even reports that he has gone to the UN to take our guns away. Michael Bloomberg, the mayor of NYC, has created a group of Mayors across the country trying to take away our best means of defense. His group is called Mayor's Against Illegal Guns, but just like so many titles it is not just against illegal guns and its charter would take away guns from everyone.

I am going to start a drinking game where every time MSNBC refers to Fox News you have to do a shot. They currently have the fox logo on their screen for an entire segment. I would be drunk. Olbermann would get me trashed. That fools entire program is dedicated to attacking Fox. If Fox ever went off the air he would not know what to talk about.

Happy Birthday RamRod
Today is RamRod's Birthday and the Arizona Shooters wish him the best. He is an old man in a young mans world protecting the sheep from the wolves in Arizona.
RamRod was born 34 years ago in Oklahoma while his father was in the service. 20 years later RamRod created a dance to commemorate his birth state, though he is an Arizonan through and through.
RamRod is a great man, great patriot, and the best friend a person could ask for.

General McChrystal
General McChrystal has submitted his resignation meaning he was fired by the President.
The talking heads are sticking to the political talk with Liberals being for the President and the Conservative being for the General. Nothing surprising here. What is for sure is the military veterans that have been interviewed know McChrystal messed up and that the President has every right to fire him. I agree.
McChrystal had a lapse in judgement talking openly in front of a Rolling Stones reporter. The President has to show that he is in charge and will fire anyone of his subordinates who speaks out against him or anyone else in the chain of command.
McChrystal is a bad ass so he will be alright. I would say he has a future on the lecture circuit and writing a book. He also has a political career waiting if he wants it.
I think the President, General McChrystal, our troops, and America are the victims here.
The reporter from Rolling Stone made us weaker today. Nothing he reported was ground breaking. He did not uncover corruption or a crime. He played gotcha and caught a General making a snide remark that was inappropriate, but only if repeated to the ENTIRE WORLD. The only one who won in this situation is Rolling Stone, the reporter, and Al Qaida. Congratulations you worthless piece of shit.
This reporter could have tucked these statements away and wrote a book in a couple of years. Not as glamorous or edgy but it would have been the PATRIOTIC thing to do. But what should I expect when our society is all about the individual greed regardless of who is hurt in the process.

Is the President planning on granting amnesty on his own?
There is a lot of hubbub on the blogs about this so I thought I would bring it to everyones attention. Not sure what is true or false but it was enough that a group of Senators sent the email below.
This would be bad. Very bad considering the political and emotional climate in America right now.
Lets remember that we are not just talking about people looking for work. We are talking about gang members, terrorists, and other criminals. I am not sure but I think it would cover the Afghani pilots who went awol.
I am not going to pretend that I understand what the implications are, but I am willing to state that any action that grants status to criminals, even the ones who only broke into our country, is wrong. Going against the majority of American's will is wrong.

We understand that there’s a push for your Administration to develop a plan to unilaterally extend either deferred action or parole to millions of illegal aliens in the United States. We understand that the Administration may include aliens who have willfully overstayed their visas or filed for benefits knowing that they will not be eligible for a status for years to come. We understand that deferred action and parole are discretionary actions reserved for individual cases that present unusual, emergent or humanitarian circumstances. Deferred action and parole were not intended to be used to confer a status or offer protection to large groups of illegal aliens, even if the agency claims that they look at each case on a “case-by-case” basis.
While we agree our immigration laws need to be fixed, we are deeply concerned about the potential expansion of deferred action or parole for a large illegal alien population. While deferred action and parole are Executive Branch authorities, they should not be used to circumvent Congress’ constitutional authority to legislate immigration policy, particularly as it relates to the illegal population in the United States.
The Administration would be wise to abandon any plans for deferred action or parole for the illegal population. Such a move would further erode the American public’s confidence in the federal government and its commitment to securing the borders and enforcing the laws already on the books.
We would appreciate receiving a commitment that the Administration has no plans to use either authority to change the current position of a large group of illegal aliens already in the United States, and ask that you respond to us about this matter as soon as possible.

Where are all the Men???
I am not sure how I feel about this just yet. I agree with this woman and I agree with the men in the second video wanting to fight for their country and state.
However, I think it should be the duty of our elected leaders to call us to arms. I would be there in an instant.
I am very torn on this.
What the guys in the second video are doing is brave and my one worry is that they are putting themselves and the local officers in danger. There is no communication or way of identifying friend from foe. There is no command and control.
Through out America's early history it was civilian militias that did a lot of the fighting. The Alamo was defended by civilians. Sam Houston went to save them with his militia or volunteer army. These men were self taught marksmen and obviously proved capable.
If I was in charge I would call for a volunteer army like the days of old. Perform a day of qualification and a quick criminal back ground check. Squad them up with a sheriff deputy in charge and put them on patrol.

Rachel Maddow compares the NRA with the Anti Saloon League. The Anti Saloon League is the movement that pushed for the prohibition amendment.
Her argument is that there are groups that have a multiple mission and groups that have one mission. She describes the NRA as a group that wants guns for everyone including people on terror watch lists, criminals, mental patients, etc......

Rachel Maddow compares the NRA with the Anti Saloon League. The Anti Saloon League is the movement that pushed for the prohibition amendment.
Her argument is that there are groups that have a multiple mission and groups that have one mission. She describes the NRA as a group that wants guns for everyone including people on terror watch lists, criminals, mental patients, etc......
Common idiotic statements from an anti gun nut. This is the first time I have not only disagreed with Rachel but also found her dumb. I have always held her at a higher level than Olbermann. I hardly agree with her, but she is usually pretty honest. At least when I have watched her.

North Carolina Representative Bob Etheridge goes the way of the Caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland. Somebody definitely got up on the wrong side of the bed and did not get his coffee.

Alvin Greene and the Democrats
What do you get when your primary constituents are the uneducated and ignorant?
You get a political win for the nominee at the top of the list that no one knows and is possibly a criminal. The criminal part makes him a perfect fit for congress.
The Democratic party is beside itself because of Alvin Greene's win in South Carolina. No one knows just how he won, considering he didn't campaign in any way. He paid to get his name on the ballot and won.
The only reasonable explanation is that people voted for the first guy on the list, which was Alvin Greene.
Reporters have even talked to people who said they voted for him and none of them were able to give a reason why.
You have heard me complain that too many people go to vote who have no clue who they are voting for or, if they do know, why they are voting for a person. Too many people go to vote for who their best friend tells them too, their parents tell them too, or their favorite cable talking head tells them too.
My family is firm conservative and I constantly have to battle with some of them to not listen to everything Rush or Hannity say.
I tell you my person struggle lately is this: Was only allowing home owners to vote a bad thing? Is there something similar that we could do to prevent the idiots in our country from having a say?
I do not like having these thoughts. It makes me feel like an elitist and believe me I do not feel elite. I heard Michael Savage say that the strength of your vote should be tied to how much you pay in taxes.
I DO NOT agree with this.
Warning: These are thoughts in my head that most I have thrown out because I see they are flawed. I just want to share my thoughts and see if any of you have some of your own.
But what if we could come up with a way that prevented those who want a hand out to not vote. What if you couldn't vote unless you paid taxes? What if you couldn't vote if you were receiving welfare? What if you couldn't vote till you were 25? (this would let the college kids get deprogrammed and get a taste for the real world before deciding our countries direction)
Hmmm, it seems that all of my suggestions would get rid of the majority of liberal voters.
The truth is that I don't want any of those suggestions to come about. I just want people to educate themselves on issues before they vote. I find it frustrating to see that idiots like Alvin Greene can be elected with no effort. I find it frustrating that Obama could be elected with no experience and that people voting against a guy not running can control this country.
I have a problem with communism being okay and their convention playing on CSPAN. I have a problem with American teachers preaching hate to their students and calling for America to give back stolen land from Mexico with out being fired. I have a problem that its okay to brag about being a thug, druggy, or all around douche bag.
These are the types of things people are referring too when they say they want their country back or that they want things to go back to the way they were.

Israel getting railed from so many directions

I just read the article on Fox News that says the above photos were brought to light by a blogger. Whether you think bloggers are liars or not, they do a lot of good in my book and if they are liars it is up to you to verify their stories and stop reading if they are not truthful.
I feel bad for Israel. They can not catch a break and even with all the overwhelming evidence out there that the commandos defended themselves, people are still saying this is Israels fault. Reuters is now being accused of cropping one photo to remove a knife from a Peace Activists hands and another photo is said to have been photo shopped to remove blood stains from the ship. The second photo has not been released.
Video, pictures, and audio have demonstrated that this ship was hell bent on a confrontation. The organizers who got these idiots to get on board have to all be shaking each others hands for a job well done. Israel is in the worlds cross hairs for protecting itself.
Side Note: I just had a thought that Israel correlates with law abiding citizens in Chicago.

Once again it is that time of year when it is dangerous, uh hum, more dangerous to walk across a huge sand box in 110 to 120 degree heat.
We kind Americans, including Arizonans, find it appalling that in this day and age people can die from exposure. Well a lot of people feel this way and they also want to blame someone. Unfortunately, they don't blame the people who decide to strike out into the desert with little water and little respect for warnings.
My feeling is cold blooded to some but to me its just common sense. If you decide to walk in 120 degree temps with little water, there is no one to blame but yourself. Especially when that walk is breaking the law and the sovereignty of a nation not your own.
You want to cross safely? Sign up at the front door. Want to come here illegally, take your chances but don't expect me to shed a tear. I have no sympathy for invaders regardless of their reasons for invading.
These groups who want to save these people need to focus their energy at demanding that America's federal government create COMMON SENSE work programs let allow these people to work the jobs apparently no one else will and then go home.

Iran offers to defend convoys going to Israel
The proverbial shit is about to hit the fan if this happens. Start paying attention people because the world is one big bomb on a short fuse. We have two major hot spots right now Korea and Israel. Those two can blow at any moment and it WILL affect America. We have our hands deeply embedded in both situations. 30,000 troops are stationed in Korea and if Israel goes to war with any Muslim country our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan are in the middle. That is not to mention that Israel is an ally we support and would be expected to help.
Taking our troops in the middle east out of the equation, I am not worried about Israel. They have beaten the crap out of their neighbors many times in the past. The Palestinians are actually in the mess they are because of the first attack on Israel just days after they were recognized as a country. Israel started very small and are only as big as they are due to their victories in battle. They would be even bigger if they hadn't been gracious enough to give back land to Egypt after whipping up on them. They conquered, after being attacked first, the entire Sinai Peninsula and later returned it.
I have gotten onto a soap box again, but these are people to be supported. Warriors who want to prosper and live their lives. People who have been attacked and hated since the beginning of recorded history. Yet I have never heard of them laying down and giving up. No matter where they are these people seem to prosper and for that they are vilified and hated. They took a little piece of sand and turned it into a functioning country and successfully defended it, repeatedly, against overwhelming odds.
Just like America, the only way for these people to be defeated is internally and by succumbing to international pressure from the clinically brain dead.

Iran has warned that it could send Revolutionary Guard naval units to escort humanitarian aid convoys seeking to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza – a move that would certainly be challenged by Israel.
Any such Iranian involvement, raised today by an aide to the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, would constitute a serious escalation of already high tensions with Israel, which accuses Tehran of seeking to build a nuclear weapon and of backing Hamas, the Islamist movement that controls Gaza.
"Iran's Revolutionary Guard naval forces are prepared to escort the peace and freedom convoys that carry humanitarian assistance for the defenceless and oppressed people of Gaza with all their strength," pledged Hojjatoleslam Ali Shirazi, Khamenei's personal representative to the guards corps.
The threat came as the Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, dismissed a UN proposal for an international commission to investigate last week's commando assault on aid ships, in which nine people died. Another aid ship, the Rachel Corrie, carrying Irish and other peace activists, was boarded peacefully by Israeli forces on Saturday, escorted to the port of Ashdod, and its passengers deported.
Netanyahu has defended Israel's right to maintain the blockade by arguing that without it Gaza would become an "Iranian port" and Hamas missiles would strike Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Israel's undeclared aim is to weaken or bring down the Hamas government.
Iran continued to exploit the "freedom flotilla" affair to lambast Israel. Its foreign minister, Manuchehr Mottaki, told the Organisation of the Islamic Conference in Jeddah on Sunday that Israel's crime was "another instance of the Zionist regime's brazen and merciless treatment of Muslims, especially the oppressed Palestinian people."
Mottaki also called for a UN resolution condemning Israel. The security council is discussing imposing new sanctions on Iran because of its failure to meet international demands over its nuclear programme.
Iran and Israel have had no diplomatic relations since the 1979 revolution and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad regularly predicts the disappearance of the Jewish state as well as denying the Holocaust.
Shirazi said Iran should encourage international efforts to break the blockade. "We should expose our enemies to spontaneous global action and not let them achieve their heinous goals," he was quoted as saying by the semi-official Mehr news agency.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards, which have a command structure separate from the regular armed forces, are fiercely loyal to the supreme leader. Khamenei has attacked the raid as a "mistake" that "showed how barbaric the Zionists are".
Israel's determination to strike at links between Iran and Hamas was dramatically demonstrated in January when presumed Mossad agents in Dubai assassinated Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, who was described as the Hamas official in charge of smuggling Iranian weapons into Gaza.
Israel's no-compromise attitude to aid convoys could be tested again after two Lebanese organisations pledged to send boats to Gaza in the next few days. Reporters Without Borders is attempting to assemble 25 European activists and 50 journalists for a boat leaving Beirut. The Free Palestine Movement is planning a similar attempt.
George Galloway, the founder of Viva Palestina, announced in London that two simultaneous convoys "one by land via Egypt and the other by sea" would set out in September to break the Gaza blockade. The sea convoy of up to 60 ships will travel around the Mediterranean gathering ships, cargo and volunteers.

Illegal tased while resisting Border Patrol, death ruled homicide
Unbelievable, just unbelievable. Not much else to say about the matter. Bad guy fights with cops, apparently taking two on successfully, if that doesn't call for a taser I don't know what does. Meth found in system would explain a lot. Excessive force? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FRIGGIN KIDDING ME!!!
It is mind boggling that we even have these conversations. I heard last week on the radio that some politician was calling for Cops to start shooting to disable instead of to kill. I think the hit rate for cops averages 17% so asking them to aim anywhere but center mass might actually increase the hit rate. Maybe it is reverse psychology, I sure hope so, cuz the only other explanation is just plain ridiculous.

The death of a Mexican migrant has been ruled a homicide, five days after he was shot with a stun gun by a U.S. immigration officer, according to the San Diego County medical examiner's office.
The coroner said Wednesday that methamphetamine abuse and hypertension contributed to the death of Anastacio Hernandez, who died from cardiac arrest at a Chula Vista hospital.
San Diego police Capt. Jim Collins says the 32-year-old was shot with a stun gun by a Customs and Border Protection officer Friday night at a San Diego border crossing.
Hernandez became combative with agents who were preparing to hand him over to Mexican officials in Tijuana after he entered the United States illegally, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokeswoman Jacqueline Dizdul. She said he ignored repeated orders to stop fighting and wrestled two Border Patrol agents to the ground.
Collins says results of the investigation will be sent to federal prosecutors, who will determine if criminal charges are filed.
Mexico has condemned the use of force against Hernandez.

SB 1070 Experiences
I was in Dallas this week for work. I finished up a job and while the engineer was running tests I went to lunch with some of the equipment guys.
As always seems to happen, odd because I do not bring it up with customers, the convo turns to politics. I was with two guys who are very American but have ancestors who came from the Dominican Republic and one from Columbia.
Both seemed to be pretty conservative leaning guys and believe the border should be locked down. They have no problem with sending illegal aliens home, but one still believes he will be arrested if he goes to Arizona and a cop doesn't like him. He believes the AZ bill will be used against all brown people. This is not a stupid guy, but he was adamant that cops could hold him for 24hrs if they didn't believe his ID was real, even if he was driving his own car. He actually referred to needing papers. WHAT PAPERS??? I don't have papers. My drivers license is the only ID I have that has my picture on it and is a valid form of identification. I keep my expired Military ID for nestalgia, but that doesn't count. What good is your birth certificate (BC)? Can anyone look at a BC and tell it is yours? NO.... I guess they could take prints of the bottom of your feet and match them to the BC. How many cops want to do that?
There was just no arguing with him. I tried everything. I told him the law states that a drivers license is valid proof that one is a citizen. I pointed out that the law gives a list of valid IDs. I told him that a cop who arrested him after viewing his ID would be breaking the law and would dealt with accordingly (allowing for a nice law suit). I argued that cops have all sorts of laws that they can abuse and only a very small few abuse them so what was he afraid was going to set the cops on a law breaking frenzy? I didn't even dent his resolve.
The convo concluded with him saying that he was still happy we did the bill so it brought attention to the border. Maybe a minor victory for me, but not the awakening I wanted to see in him. I guess it could be that I do not understand the fear because I am very white. But he was the only "brown" person I had met that feared being arrested.

Israeli Crisis
Kudos to the peace activists, who brought Israel's military brutality to the attention of the world.
For far too long these people, hell bent on world domination and subjugating of people they feel beneath them, has gone unchallenged. Their story of abuse is well documented through out history and their constant attacks on peaceful peoples are beyond disgusting. Thankfully, there are people who are willing to challenge Israel's bellicose ways and put an end to the constant terror Israel instills in their peace loving neighbors.

Now to my serious thoughts, Israel just got punked. If anyone thinks this was not set up in advance then you are a fool. These so called peace activists had this planned from the beginning. They knew there was no way Israel would let them through their blockade without boarding the ships and inspecting the cargo. They then packed the ships with as many idiots they could get from as many countries as possible. This way anger at Israel will come from everywhere and everyone.

Sunday, I was listening to the radio and heard about these ships heading toward Israel and that the Israelis planned on intercepting them. I remember thinking then that this could be bad. Seemed like only an hour later, I heard about the ships being bordered and shots being fired. Score one for premonition or just common sense.
Luckily, the Israelis had the presence of to have cameras present and oddly I saw a video from someone on the ship. The video is clear to me. The peace activists were not so peaceful, the Israeli soldiers held fire for quite awhile, and the use of force did become disproportional. The peace activists brought pipes, rocks, sticks, and wrenches to a gun fight.
Hanky stomping liberals are upset that guns were used against people without guns, but these idiots also think cops should not shoot to kill and should only shoot to disable. BECAUSE IT’S THAT EASY!!!
I stand by Israel and think they showed great restraint in holding fire for as long as they did.
I do however fear that this is the start of something bigger and hope it is not the spark to an all out war the world.
There are just too many hot spots in the world and it is only a matter of time before they ignite, unless something is done to smother them.
Do not be fooled by these people who claim to be of peace. We can see they are clearly not peaceful. If they wanted to get the aid to Hamas they only had to allow the Israelis to inspect the ship for arms. I have not heard any credible claims that Israel is not allowing aid to get Gaza.

For far too long these people, hell bent on world domination and subjugating of people they feel beneath them, has gone unchallenged. Their story of abuse is well documented through out history and their constant attacks on peaceful peoples are beyond disgusting. Thankfully, there are people who are willing to challenge Israel's bellicose ways and put an end to the constant terror Israel instills in their peace loving neighbors.

Now to my serious thoughts, Israel just got punked. If anyone thinks this was not set up in advance then you are a fool. These so called peace activists had this planned from the beginning. They knew there was no way Israel would let them through their blockade without boarding the ships and inspecting the cargo. They then packed the ships with as many idiots they could get from as many countries as possible. This way anger at Israel will come from everywhere and everyone.

Memorial Day
Memorial Day is upon us and most Americans will have a BBQ, get drunk, and play in the pool. All great events that mark the start of the Summer.
I am having a BBQ today and RamRod started a new tradition in my house hold. He gave everyone coming a homework assignment. Find a family member who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this nation and tell everyone about him.
GREAT IDEA!!! RamRod was shocked at how many people responded positively to the idea and I really believe my friends have learned a lot about there own families.
I wonder how many people will actually say anything at their BBQs about the fallen hero's they are supposed to be celebrating on their Memorial Day vacation?
I wonder how many people actually know that Memorial Day is supposed to be a day for remembering our fallen veterans?
My family and friends will be remembering and will be introducing a new tradition that I will pass on to my children and them to theirs.
Have a great Memorial Day and at the very least have a moment of silence for those who can not be with us because they died defending our freedom and no matter what day it is remember there are still those men and women who are currently in the trenches defending us.

Travis Murphy
Our hearts and respects go out to the family of fallen Phoenix Police Officer Travis Murphy.
I was woken up by my mother yesterday morning asking if my best friend and fellow shooter, RamRod, was working last night and if he was okay. Knowing his schedule and his precinct I told her he wasn't working and that the shooting didn't happen near his area.
However, it is always nerve racking waiting to hear from him after a shooting. Police do not truely have borders so they can be operating any where in the city and sometimes the state.
These men and women go out into a world that is just civilized enough for us to think its safe. But the police know the truth and there is no defense against an ambush like the one sprung on Travis Murphy.

WTF!?!?!?!
- Obama sends token force of troops to the border. 2000 miles of border = 1500 troops. Please read my previous post on when numbers lie. I also doubt the troops will be armed and nothing will change.
- Border Patrol currently has a hiring freeze on. Went to a graduation party this last weekend and my cousin told me her husband was accepted into the Border Patrol but was waiting for a start date due to a hiring freeze. Priorities anyone???
- Oil hitting the beaches in the south, President is getting pissed, Dems blaming Bush. I don't blame Obama for the oil spill, never blamed Bush for the problems in Louisiana after the Hurricane. Safety regulations is one thing I think the government should be involved in and they need to get their act together. I am getting sick of hearing about gov workers watching porn and not doing their jobs.
- White House attempts to bribe retired Admiral to get him to not run against party switcher, Republicans want heads, Democrats say no blood no foul. Blogovich is not around to blame for this one so who did it?
- Spec Ops publicized. Really???? Yo Taliban, WERE COMING!!!! But secretly!!! I am getting sick of the media announcing our troop movements. Do they think the Taliban and Al Qaida don't read the news?
- Drug wars in Jamaica and Mexico. Who is to blame? America's gun laws of course. More excuses for bad behavior.
- Arizona - SB1070, Ethnic Studies, and teachers with accents, what else can we take on???? All are worthy battles, I just worry that it's too much for the hanky stompers to handle at one time. My hope is that it brings the true racists (La Raza, Brown Berets, Immigrants without borders, etc) and their agendas to the surface.

Numbers that lie
It is a crying shame to think that numbers can betray you. 2 + 2 always equals 4. Our dependency on technology demands that 2 + 2 always equal 4. In certain applications 2 + 2 does equal 5 or what ever certain people want it o.
I used to believe that numbers do not lie. In business if a new product is going to make you more money than it costs it is a viable product, if its going to bring in a lot more money than it costs it is a great product. I often thought that the same should go for government, if the numbers show that it is cheaper to do A than it is to do B than you do A.
My wife quickly set me straight on how numbers could easily lie. She deals with it daily in her job as an auditor. It all depends on the person putting the numbers together. Didn't take me long to start thinking of Enron, Tyco, the financial crash, etc.
In college, I had a tough time with statistics and I think I now know why. Statistics are not always black and white. Statistics have a standard deviation, skew, and slant. The slant is all about how the statistics are collected.
Polling is the worst part of statistics. Polling is the accumulation of answers to certain questions producing a percentage of who thinks what on such and such a topic. Those questions can be asked in different was eliciting a different response to essentially the same question.
Ethical political polling takes an enormous amount of integrity, discipline, and you guessed it, ethics. There is a reason we do not believe a poll taken by AOL, Facebook, or any cable news station. They are biased by the people who visit or watch those sites.
It is why a poll on Foxnews always supports a conservative agenda, while MSNBC polls always support the liberal agenda. Anyone who ever claims that 75% of America believes something because they saw a poll taken BY a cable news channel or any news channel, you should promptly punch them in the nose.
The reason for this late night diatribe about how numbers betrayed me is that I found a poll showing that a majority (51%) of Americans are scared of people who openly carry guns in public. The polling went on to show that Americans are scared of other gun related things as well.
I could not find a margin of error or anything else on this poll. I did find that company who performed the polling was hired by the Brady Campaign.
Okay Okay, I was trolling the Brady Campaign website and found this poll on the front page.
The polling company, Lake Research Partners, has a long client list and you will recognize quite a few. Those I recognize are all liberals aka Democrats.

Calderon admonishes America and gets a standing ovation for it.
I watched this live and it disgusted me. In our own house he talks down to Americans, specifically Arizonans, and is applauded by SURPRISE SURPRISE democrats.
The hypocrisy is so amazing it literally hurts my heart to think that any American buys into this crap.
He berates us for attempting to protect ourselves, our border, our jobs, and our economy while at the same time having laws so strict that they make SB 1070 look like a hug. You will find every rule in SB1070 and in our federal law in Mexico's immigration law and then multiply the penalty by 10. In addition, Mexico doesn't have any rule against discrimination. Any law enforcement official in Mexico can stop some and ask for ID.
But the truth is, I don't care what Mexico does as long as it does it without affecting us.
The truth is Calderon needs Mexicans working in the US illegally because his budget counts on it. Mexico will go broke if we got rid of all the illegal aliens in America.

This story might slip right past you. It’s understandable, considering most Americans have no idea of the context or how it happened that the state-owned China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) is now set for 20 years in Iraq, thanks to a deal just inked between the Iraqi government and Communist China. The Iraqis originally selected America’s Exxon-Mobil. I’ll wager you probably didn’t know that. You’ll want to read on. But brace yourself.
It’s the classic American political tale of self-loathing crafted by the usual suspects. With its government firm and its security at its post-surge best, the Iraqi government needed to quickly bring its oilfields online. It desperately needed the revenues. The summer of 2008 saw oil prices above $100 per barrel and Americans were paying $4 per gallon at the pump.
The best in the business – the best in the world – is Exxon-Mobil. And the government of Iraq turned to America’s Exxon-Mobil to bring undeveloped and underdeveloped fields online to rejuvenate its own revenue sources and ween itself and its people off of American aid.
But three American Senators would have none of it. Senators John Kerry (D-MA), Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Claire McCaskill (D-MO) sent a public letter to the Bush administration’s Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, imploring her to derail the Iraqi deal. (See: ‘In China We Trust’: Senators Closed Door to US Oil Investment In Iraq.) As the Senate troika stated, “It is our fear that this action by the Iraqi government could further deepen political tensions in Iraq and put our service members in even great danger.”
You see, these three American Senators insisted that Iraq shall have no revenues until it passed an oil revenue sharing law that met their distant standards. Or at least, Iraq should have certainly had no additional revenue. Their letter was dismissed out of hand in Washington. But in Iraq, the desired consequences of the letter took hold. The Iraqi government became spooked as the reportage of the letter turned, as one would expect, into wrangling and infighting by those seeking to leverage it to their advantage in the hotly contested revenue sharing process.
And there was “Big Oil” political gamesmanship afoot amid the 2008 presidential elections. As Fred Kagan noted at the time in The Weekly Standard, Claire McCaskill made no real bones about it. “It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to connect these dots–big oil is running Washington and now they’re running Baghdad. There is no reason under the sun not to halt these agreements until we get revenue sharing in place,” McCaskill said. Claire McCaskill knows a thing or two about not being a rocket scientist.
But there were at least two “reasons under the sun” not to halt Iraq’s deal with its preferred American operator. The first “reason under the sun” was the Iraqi government itself, which did not include McCaskill or Kerry or Schumer as part of the “we” who were working on the internal Iraqi revenue sharing agreement. The second “reason under the sun” was China, which would be quite happy to exclude the American senators from their share of the oil and revenue a deal would happily generate.
Remember, Iraq was desperate for income; and oil is, was and will be for some time it’s primary resource. There was no time – nor a need – to wait for a final agreement before beginning to rebuild its oil industry. From the Iraqi perspective, despite the myopic gaming of American politicians, there was no reason under the relentless Iraqi sun not to sign a deal – immediately – with some other willing, unconfined partner.
So what did Iraq do? It governed itself where it could do so without the meddling of the Kerry-Schumer-McCaskill Troika. If these American Senators wanted to make a big stink about its selection of Exxon because it was an American firm, Iraq would turn elsewhere. And who stepped up? China and it’s China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). Name ring a bell? That’s because CNOOC is the Chinese state owned arm that tried to buy America’s Unocal. And Marathon. And Hess.
China told Iraq essentially, “We’ll do it, we’ll do it now, and we’ll do it without griping about what you do with your share of the revenues.” Deal. And who could blame the Iraqis?
And that, from 2008, is how we got here in 2010. In an era where the nations of the world are competing ferociously for resources, the usual suspects lead the American retreat. And that one simple letter from three dangerous senators weakened America’s energy and economic security and strengthened China’s by equal measure for twenty years and probably many more.
China, you see, is now “in” in Iraq. China’s “in” in a lot of places, taking advantage of American weakness borne of an American self-imposed taboo status of oil and the vilification of the American oil industry itself.
In March, Andy Olbermueller explained how China, via CNOOC, is “(Not-So) Secretly Buying Up World’s Oil Reserves.” Olbermueller prefaces his piece as “a brief three-part history and economics primer.” The second part stands, however, as a warfare primer as executed by the Chinese today.
Countries don’t colonize anymore. Today, if the British Empire needs tea, tobacco or beaver pelts, it buys them for cash rather than sending the Royal Navy. If the French need rubber, ivory or timber, they import them rather than functionally enslaving the Congo.
And if Red China needs oil, it doesn’t send Chairman Mao’s army (Proud motto: Every man a private), it sends a state-owned company.
That company is CNOOC (NYSE: CEO). And it is on the march.
Recently, CNOOC — China National Offshore Oil Company — sealed a ten-figure deal to acquire a third of the massive Tullow find in Uganda, a region thought to contain several billion barrels of oil. CNOOC is also developing a 2.5 billion-barrel field in Iraq. And late last year CNOOC inked a deal with Venezuela to gear up production in a field in the eastern part of that country.
Now, after several British firms say they’ve found oil in an area north of the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic, CNOOC has spent $3.1 billion to buy a stake in nearby Argentina, Bolivia and Chile.
“Unrestricted Warfare” was more than just a passing thought published by two Chinese colonels in the Peoples Liberation Army. It was a strategic response to the American dominance of the Gulf War that has been adopted as grand strategy.
China is the most aggressive energy pursuer on the planet. And they apologize for nothing. They recognize the competition afoot and the limitations of resources. And from where America retreats in the competition from resources, the Chinese happily fill the void. China is bold and, with a new deal with Cuba to drill in the Gulf of Mexico, very close to our own shores.
If there are concerns with the safety, operation and oversight of American and British rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, what level of environmental comfort is to be drawn when the newest rigs drilling there are stamped “Made in China”?
With all of that in mind, be sure to thank Senators Kerry, Schumer, and McCaskill for weakening American economic and energy security while strengthening China’s for the next several decades. For them, the withdrawal from Iraq was about much more than troop levels.

The first “reason under the sun” was the Iraqi government itself, which did not include McCaskill or Kerry or Schumer as part of the “we” who were working on the internal Iraqi revenue sharing agreement. The second “reason under the sun” was China, which would be quite happy to exclude the American senators from their share of the oil and revenue a deal would happily generate.
Remember, Iraq was desperate for income; and oil is, was and will be for some time it’s primary resource. There was no time – nor a need – to wait for a final agreement before beginning to rebuild its oil industry. From the Iraqi perspective, despite the myopic gaming of American politicians, there was no reason under the relentless Iraqi sun not to sign a deal – immediately – with some other willing, unconfined partner.
So what did Iraq do? It governed itself where it could do so without the meddling of the Kerry-Schumer-McCaskill Troika. If these American Senators wanted to make a big stink about its selection of Exxon because it was an American firm, Iraq would turn elsewhere. And who stepped up? China and it’s China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). Name ring a bell? That’s because CNOOC is the Chinese state owned arm that tried to buy America’s Unocal. And Marathon. And Hess.
China told Iraq essentially, “We’ll do it, we’ll do it now, and we’ll do it without griping about what you do with your share of the revenues.” Deal. And who could blame the Iraqis?
And that, from 2008, is how we got here in 2010. In an era where the nations of the world are competing ferociously for resources, the usual suspects lead the American retreat. And that one simple letter from three dangerous senators weakened America’s energy and economic security and strengthened China’s by equal measure for twenty years and probably many more.
China, you see, is now “in” in Iraq. China’s “in” in a lot of places, taking advantage of American weakness borne of an American self-imposed taboo status of oil and the vilification of the American oil industry itself.
In March, Andy Olbermueller explained how China, via CNOOC, is “(Not-So) Secretly Buying Up World’s Oil Reserves.” Olbermueller prefaces his piece as “a brief three-part history and economics primer.” The second part stands, however, as a warfare primer as executed by the Chinese today.
Countries don’t colonize anymore. Today, if the British Empire needs tea, tobacco or beaver pelts, it buys them for cash rather than sending the Royal Navy. If the French need rubber, ivory or timber, they import them rather than functionally enslaving the Congo.
And if Red China needs oil, it doesn’t send Chairman Mao’s army (Proud motto: Every man a private), it sends a state-owned company.
That company is CNOOC (NYSE: CEO). And it is on the march.
Recently, CNOOC — China National Offshore Oil Company — sealed a ten-figure deal to acquire a third of the massive Tullow find in Uganda, a region thought to contain several billion barrels of oil. CNOOC is also developing a 2.5 billion-barrel field in Iraq. And late last year CNOOC inked a deal with Venezuela to gear up production in a field in the eastern part of that country.
Now, after several British firms say they’ve found oil in an area north of the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic, CNOOC has spent $3.1 billion to buy a stake in nearby Argentina, Bolivia and Chile.
“Unrestricted Warfare” was more than just a passing thought published by two Chinese colonels in the Peoples Liberation Army. It was a strategic response to the American dominance of the Gulf War that has been adopted as grand strategy.
China is the most aggressive energy pursuer on the planet. And they apologize for nothing. They recognize the competition afoot and the limitations of resources. And from where America retreats in the competition from resources, the Chinese happily fill the void. China is bold and, with a new deal with Cuba to drill in the Gulf of Mexico, very close to our own shores.
If there are concerns with the safety, operation and oversight of American and British rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, what level of environmental comfort is to be drawn when the newest rigs drilling there are stamped “Made in China”?
With all of that in mind, be sure to thank Senators Kerry, Schumer, and McCaskill for weakening American economic and energy security while strengthening China’s for the next several decades. For them, the withdrawal from Iraq was about much more than troop levels.
